Finding the perfect rug can feel impossible; it has to be the right size, price, style, tone, pile height, have just the right amount of patina, perfect colors, etc. I’m ashamed to admit just how much time I’ve spent looking for *perfect* rugs on Etsy. But 100% of the time, my hunting has paid off.
Like this perfect muted blue-green rug I found for our bedroom on page 2,340,832 on Etsy (exaggerating, but it was up there)
I realized not too long ago just how important a rug is when considering a design; it quite literally grounds a room and should be one of the very first things to consider during the planning phase of a makeover.
I usually have an idea of what I like just based on my style – but it takes time to find a rug that makes me feel a certain way. And when I do find that White Whale rug, I’m more comfortable with spending $ because I know it can truly make or break a room (buy once cry once).

For today’s post, I thought I’d do another good ol’ Etsy vintage rug roundup. Some of my personal favorites that I had a hard time not buying myself included this smaller rug, this Taspinar rug, and this STUNNING muted neutral rug.
As a reminder, it can’t hurt to send the seller a message asking if they’re willing to extend an additional discount. 90% of the time they’re happy to share! My life motto is can’t hurt to ask.
