Our three-seasons porch is still very much a work in progress, but these cushions deserved their own moment. The original cushions (discontinued Miles Redd for Ballard) were still in great shape structurally, they’d just been beaten up by the elements, children + a cat (and often, me). Instead of replacing the whole sofa, I partnered with Calico Corners to recover the existing cushions in new outdoor fabric.
I went with a timeless soft blue to play off the white sofa frame, paired with pillows in a neutral outdoor stripe; also Calico. The whole porch is still a work in progress but the palette feels fresher already, and I’m so glad that Calico was able to use my existing cushions and I didn’t have to have entirely new ones made.

Full porch renovation is coming hopefully by end of Summer, but for now: a reminder that sometimes the best “new” thing is just reworking what you already have!

The fabrics I used:
- Leisure Od, Sunbrella, Sky : the main cushion fabric
- Canvas, Sunbrella Outdoor, White: cushion welt
- Tranquil, Sunbrella Outdoor, Camel : striped pillows
- Leisure Od, Sunbrella, Sky : pillow welt (same fabric as cushions)
This is the fourth time I’ve partnered with Calico and am always thrilled with the process & final result. If you’re thinking about a similar refresh for your own space, Calico offers a free design services consultation to help you find the right fabric for your project!
