This bathroom has certainly seen a few design iterations over the last few years. I renovated our en suite bath for my first One Room Challenge in 2018 and recently fixed/completed a few things that I did wrong during my first round.
I still give myself credit for tackling a bathroom but in reality, it’s unrealistic to DIY a full gut bathroom reno in 6 weeks and it’s one of the rooms that I never *fully* completed.
As a refresher, our en suite bathroom started like this:
Then turned into this…
The wallpaper in the last iteration of this room was temporary (I used this tutorial to temporarily hang it), so beadboard and (permanent) wallpaper were in my latest plans to align with the aesthetic of our Bowood bedroom:
After installing Thibaut Arboretta wallpaper, replacing the janky vanity with a beautiful Signature Hardware Elmdale vanity, adding some towel storage, monogram Weezie towels, and a new Waterworks faucet that I scored on eBay, I am obsessed with the way it turned out!
I can’t get enough of this wallpaper pattern. It’s a geometric floral that pairs perfectly with the Bowood pattern in our bedroom, and I want it everywhere.
The beadboard is painted Farrow and Ball Shaded White
I was gifted another set of Weezie wave towels and can’t decide which set I love more. This was also our first set of *nice* towels and we really, reallllly enjoy using them. They’re so soft, plush and absorbent.
Of course, I had to include one of Alexis Walter’s smalls to go with the larger one she commissioned for our bedroom!
This bathroom will certainly be getting more use once the baby comes, as our default is our main bath.
Here’s our bedroom and bath together for visual comparison:
